Date to Long Converter
- Default values of both the date and the long text boxes are those of "now".
- Date format is "[d]d.[m]m.yyyy hh:mm:ss".
- The time zone is always the one of the browser. Therefore, the time zone delay (compared to GMT) is always added on output and subtracted on input, because the value is internally calculated in GMT only.
- The date input is checked against some bad input in the JavaScript version, but the maximum day input value is always 31. So if you enter some inexistent date, the output will be something strange. The Calendar class in Java accepts any input (i.e. everything is defined), so no checks are done in the applet.
- The millisecond parts of the date objects are reset to 0, i.e. suppressed.
